PACKONLINE'S iSERVICES BACKBONE
 

Trojan's database of employer-sponsored insurance plans and benefits services are now integrated in Dental.PackOnline.



PackOnline has partnered with Trojan Professional Services, a leading provider of practice support services for dental professionals. Dental.PackOnline v.4.0 now offers Trojan "iBenefits" based on Trojan's database of employer-sponsored insurance plans, as part of its integrated services (iServices) backbone.

With iBenefits, Trojan's information is available online for the first time, thus allowing Dental.PackOnline subscribers to access up-to-the-minute benefits information, vital to dentists' treatment planning and insurance claims procedures.

With insurance providers now starting to accept information digitally, dental practices that want to stay ahead of the curve are turning to online practice management, where Dental.PackOnline is the clear leader. With Dental.PackOnline's electronic insurance claims (iClaims) feature, dentists can start exchanging digital information right away over the Internet, as soon as each insurance provider comes online through Trojan integrated benefits services.

Being a true Internet-based application means that Dental.PackOnline seamlessly integrates everything via the web. Thus dental staff no longer needs to spend so much time and energy following insurance claims. Dental.PackOnline's and Trojan's iClaims functionality enables dentists and their staffs to create a master reference list of insurance providers and their profiles, including contact information and coverage levels for each subscriber. To further ensure accuracy, insurance provider information is also crosschecked against employer information when the claim is entered. With everything already in the system, iClaims can be created with just a few mouse clicks, with most fields populated automatically upon selection of an insurance provider. At the same time, Dental.PackOnline retrieves patient information from the patient file and automatically populates the appropriate iClaims fields.

Dentists and their staffs can even send iClaims attachments, such as x-rays, periodontal charting, and narratives, to clarify and speed reimbursements. A standard Dental.PackOnline report, the Outstanding Claims Report, can be run at any time to view or print the status of any and all iClaims. Data is categorized by claim ID number; date originally sent; age of the claim; the patient's name, social security number, and date of birth; the insurer's name and phone number; the insurance group number of the subscriber; the name and address of the subscriber's employer; and the claim's date of service and amount. If needed, dentists can choose to create a customized report (always an option with Dental.PackOnline) to meet the needs of their particular practices.
